Thinking Around [Weekly Recap #2]
Hello, Hi, and Welcome back to my weekly Recap!
An initially unintentional break turned into an intentional one when I had a minor crises about what I wanted to write and how I wanted to show up online. It led me to finally realizing that the closer I get to doing the thing I'm supposed to be doing, the more resistance I feel. Go figure. But now that I have become aware of this (once again. It's a lesson I keep relearning) I'm restarting by getting back in the habit of posting online with another recap.
Light and easy! Let's jump in.
I have watched SO much YouTube these last few days. Here's what stood out:
I watched the entirety of Love on the Spectrum season 3 in just two days so I was of course going to watch 2 of my favorite drag queens watch it for the first time. I was not disappointed.
This was a VERY chunky video (I watched it while I worked and it helped the day go by). I'm not usually a watcher of video game play throughs, but the new video game [South of Midnight](tab:https://compulsiongames.com/games/south-of-midnight/) is everything a video game should be. The story, the music, the graphics. Chefs kiss! If you've got 3 hours to kill, I would give this video a watch.
I am a Kpop fan, second generation to be exact, but lately it's been hard to find new groups to get into and listen to regularly. XG has filled that spot. Their latest music video is very vibe-y and the song is good too.
Something from my camera roll
This reminded me of the whole point of why I started this blog. I have to keep cutting away the overgrowth and the path will come into view.
I've been chronically online the last couple of weeks. Here's everything I stumbled upon.
- A very cool personal website.
- An app for focusing on your writing goals.
- An illustrated take on small ways to dismantle the patriarchy.
- A poem on survival by Audre Lorde. Very timely.
- Turn webpages into convent PDFs. This is helpful especially if you like sending stuff to your e-reader.
- A coffee recipe I’m saving in anticipation of the arrival of our new coffee machine.
- Being online can be so much fun and you can literally make anything. Pick your starting point.
Have a good weekend!
