Online, Offline, in My Head [Weekly Recap #1]
Hello, Hi, and Welcome to my very first weekly recap!
I LOVE reading what people have to say about their week. We are all living vastly different lives each and every single day, and even though it may not look like it on the surface, no week is exactly the same. It was that idea that inspired me to start paying attention to how my days go and what the week ended up being as a whole. The hope is to create a helpful personal archive of my own that I can look back on when I feel like I'm stuck in a Groundhog's Day time loop. And maybe whoever stumbles across it will find something useful/inspiring/new/etc.
In the spirit of planning - and ultimately thinking less - I am not going to commit to doing these every single week for the following reasons:
Some weeks I will forget I'm doing this and inevitably just not post.
There are no rules except the ones I make.
I need room to be flexible. I might want to skip doing them for the month in favor of doing a monthly wrap up instead.
So, with the formalities out of the way, let's get to it!
- On Wednesday, I wore a full face (I use that term loosely) of new makeup that I ordered for my birthday. I'm out of practice with taking selfies, but if you squint, you can see the blush, eyeliner, mascara, and lip balm doing their thing on my face.

I would recommend the blush, eyeliner, and mascara, but would definitely tell you to pass on the lip balm. It smells good, but I drank water twice and it disappeared without a trace.
- I was flipping through the virtual pages of The Paris Review (Shout out to the Libby library app!) and came across an ad for The Fifth Avenue Hotel.
(I mean COME ON!)
I was practically salivating. Until I realized it would be about $1600 a night for a suite. So I took a screenshot of the ad and made it a vision board item.
- While scrolling through Substack, which is basically Instagram if books had social media, and came across this nugget.
Makes me think about how many moments like this make up life, both positive and negative, that never really leave you.
And here's everything else I stumbled upon on the Internet this week:
A great article about having too many tabs open and how it's, not to be dramatic, ruining your brain
Some YouTube Videos
And that's it! Overall, it was a very good week and I am very happy to have been able to capture the highlights of it for the blog.
Have a good weekend!
